AgNUE (Agricultural Nitrogen Use Efficiency Platform) is an international research initiative led by Aarhus University that aims to improve nitrogen management in agriculture.
The project brings together researchers from Europe and the United States to generate high-quality field data, advance understanding of nitrogen cycling, and develop more accurate models for predicting nitrogen losses and environmental impacts. Its overall goal is to support more sustainable and productive farming systems by increasing nitrogen use efficiency while reducing greenhouse gas emissions, water pollution, and other environmental pressures.
AgNUE is funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation and the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research (FFAR).
