Prof. Klaus Butterbach-Bahl honored with the prestigious Sustainability Award
Prof. Klaus Butterbach-Bahl, Head of Land-CRAFT, has been awarded the prestigious "Outstanding Research and Development in Agriculture" honor at the 2024 Sustainability Awards, supported by the Nobel Sustainability Trust, for his groundbreaking contributions for sustainable agriculture.
We are thrilled to announce that Prof. Klaus Butterbach-Bahl, Head of Pioneer Center Land-CRAFT (Center for Landscape Research in Sustainable Agricultural Futures), has been recognized with the Outstanding Research and Development in Agriculture award at the 2024 Sustainability Awards.
This prestigious award is presented by the Nobel Sustainability Trust (NST) in collaboration with the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
Prof. Butterbach-Bahl’s groundbreaking work focuses on quantifying the environmental impacts of agriculture, especially in relation to greenhouse gas emissions. His contributions have had a profound impact on advancing sustainable agricultural practices globally, helping to address some of the most pressing challenges linked to climate change.
The award will be presented at the 4th Summit of the Nobel Sustainability Trust, taking place from November 20th to 21st, 2024, in San Francisco. Prof. Butterbach-Bahl joins an elite group of researchers from across the globe, recognized for their leadership in sustainability.
