Land-CRAFT Afforestation Workshop
Land-CRAFT will be hosting an Afforestation workshop from October 20–22 at Aarhus University.
This workshop is especially relevant given the major land-use changes expected across Denmark as a result of the 2024 Green Tripartite Agreement, which includes the establishment of 250,000 hectares of new forest.

Workshop information
The workshop will bring together representatives from government agencies, stakeholder organizations, and academia to share perspectives on the Green Transition and current afforestation policies and practices. We will also discuss the effects of afforestation on greenhouse gas and nitrogen balances in the context of global change and increasingly frequent climate extremes.
In addition to a great lineup of talks from speakers from the Danish Agency for Green Area Conversion and Aquatic Environment, the Danish Forest Association, KU, KIT (Germany), WSL (Switzerland), Cornell University and the University of New Hampshire (U.S.), there will, of course, also be coffee and cake.
